Clint Allen Reed was born September 6, 1964, in Mountain View, Missouri, to Tommy E. and Norma L. (Brown) Reed. He departed this life on August 19, 2024, in Springfield, Missouri at the age of 59.
He is survived by his parents, Tommy and Norma of Mountain View, MO; son, Chris Reed of Mountain View, MO; grandchildren, Christian and Cassidy Reed of Mountain View, MO; sisters, Lana (Pat) Stuart of West Plains, MO, and Michelle (Doug) Butler of West Plains, MO; nephews and nieces, Wesley (Dawn) Stuart of West Plains, MO; Trevor (Kennedy) Butler and daughter, Rhea of Mountain View, MO, Collin (Lauren) Butler and daughter, Ava of San Diego, CA, and his rescue cat, Sweetie.
Clint was a kind, gentle, and loving soul. He was particularly passionate about his family and animals. Everybody was Clint’s friend because he saw the importance and goodness in all people. He inherited his Daddy’s sense of humor and was a hilarious storyteller. We all tried to watch our backs because he was a big prankster!
Clint was a single father. He gave Chris a wonderful childhood and was a second dad to his nephew Wes. They were the three musketeers!
He could play any music instrument with strings and won his first fiddling contest at age 16. He had a beautiful voice, but was shy about his talent and few ever heard him sing. When he was the maintenance man at the nursing home, he came to love many of the residents and wrote poetry about them.
Clint was a perfectionist in any job he did. He worked hard and put in extra time to make sure the job was done right.
He enjoyed hunting, fishing, and spending time with his precious grandkids.
We will miss Clint’s loving nature, the laughs he provided, and the precious hugs he had for his Momma and Daddy. We were blessed to have him for the time we did and will cherish the many memories.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, August 24, 2024, at Yarber Mortuary, Mountain View, Missouri with Bro. James Duddridge officiating. Interment will be in Dry Creek Cemetery, Willow Springs, Missouri. Condolences may be expressed at www.yarbermortuary.com
