It is with deep sorrow that we announce the passing of Clinton Duane Barnes, age 47, of Winona, Missouri, on November 23, 2024. Clinton was born on November 16, 1977, in Poplar Bluff, to Jim and Becky Barnes.
Clinton had a deep love for music, particularly for the guitar, and could often be found playing his favorite tunes or sharing new songs with those close to him. His love for music was infectious, and he had a gift for bringing people together through the songs that shaped his life.
Clint was a hard worker and spent many years as a concrete finisher. He was proud of his work, and his reputation for quality and reliability was known throughout his crew. In recent years, he spent time working in local sawmills.
On March 1, 1997, Clinton married Jonie Yardley, and together they made a loving family. Their union was blessed with three daughters, who were the light of his life. He was a devoted father and cherished every moment with his girls, whether they were on adventures together or enjoying quality time at home. Clint’s love for his family knew no bounds, and he leaves behind three beautiful daughters who will miss him forever.
Clinton was a loyal and generous man with a big heart who valued the ones he loved above all else. His sense of humor, love for the outdoors, and good natured personality will always be remembered. As a young man, Clint gave his life to the Lord and knew Jesus Christ as his savior. He rededicated this commitment and was baptized on September 15, 2024.
Clinton is survived by his three daughters, Olivia, Kendra, Andi, and one “grand doggie” Bailey; his father Jim Barnes and wife Elsie; brother Jeb Barnes and children Erika, Dusty, and Tori; brother in law Everrett Fulk and son Tyler; as well as a host of cousins and extended family. Clinton is preceded in death by his mother Becky Barnes and sister Cory Barnes-Fulk.
The visitation will be at the Assembly of God in Winona, Missouri on Saturday, November 30th 2024 at 2pm with the funeral service immediately following at 3pm.
Clinton’s spirit will live on in the hearts of his family and all who had the privilege of knowing him. His memory will forever be cherished by those who loved him, and his legacy will continue through the lives of his daughters and the music he shared with all of us.
Rest in peace, Clint. You will be greatly missed, but never forgotten.
