While we know that she is at peace and that her pain is over, we are left with a deep sadness. She has left the legacy of her love, strength, and perseverance. The ways she touched our lives will forever remain with all of us. Our mom was so passionate about everything she did. She loved her family to the core and lived for all of us. She was great at many things, but what always stood out was her storytelling, in particular, all the stories she told us about the haunted house we lived in in Bourbon, Missouri. These stories will forever be passed down through the generations in our family. Our mom was tough. When we stumbled in life, she would tell us to suck it up, rub some dirt on it, and move on. But if we needed it, she would give us the love and tenderness only a mother could provide. She was the matriarch of the Lucas family and will be missed dearly. Not so sure if rubbing some dirt on it will work this time mom, but we will find a way to keep going. We love you so much!
