Dale Clifford Johnson, age 83 was born June 4, 1938, in Alton, MO and passed away November 15, 2021, at his home.
He was united in marriage to Barbara J. Johnson on November 29, 1958. Dale is survived by his siblings Garlin Johnson, Harlin Johnson (Wanda), Mary Booker (Harriell), James Johnson (Ruth) and Phillip Johnson (Ruby), Sister in Law, Betty Dowler, Brother in Law, Larry Taylor, His six children Carolyn Moore (Paul), Kenny Johnson (Susie), Joe Johnson (Shari), Linda Spengler (Paul), Joyce Moore (Mark), Bobby Johnson (Jennifer), 17 grandchildren Emily, Kate, Lauren, Stacey, Stephanie, Paul Michael, Hope, Courtney, Phillip, Drew, Caleb, Christian, Sam, Grace, Steven, David, and Sarai 18 great-grandchildren and numerous other nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.
Preceding him in death was his beloved wife Barbara J Johnson, his parents Noel and Lucy Johnson, and his brother, Doyle Johnson of Couch, MO
Dale graduated from Alton High School in 1954, He was part of the Comets basketball team that went to the final four in the 1953-1954 season. He would often coach his grandsons from afar. Dale loved his kids and all of the grandkids. He loved to deer hunt, fish and take care of his farm. He served as the Assistant Fire Chief for the BB Road Fire Department and took great pride in doing so. Dale attended Alton Assembly of God and served on the Deacon Board for several years. He was thankful for the church and the Pastors that he served under. |
Services will be Friday, November 19, 2021, at Alton Assembly of God. Visitation will be at 10:00am followed by Funeral Services at 11:00am. Burial will be in the Cave Springs Cemetery, under the direction of the Clary Funeral Home, Alton, MO.
