Dana Sue “Momma D” Phillips was born October 1, 1965, in St. Charles, Missouri, to Robert Phillips, Jr. and Cheryl Louise (Bekebrede)Phillips. She departed this life on September 26, 2023, in St. Louis, Missouri, at the age of 57.
She lived life to the fullest and always had a smile on her face. Throughout her life, Momma D embraced hard work and dedication, graduating from high school and achieving a High School Diploma. She found joy in serving her community and spent many years working in the school cafeteria, ensuring students received nourishment and care. Her warm and compassionate nature extended beyond her professional life, as she touched the lives of many individuals with her kind heart and generous spirit. She was adored by all of the students. Momma D was a huge St. Louis Cardinals and Eminence Redwings fan. One of her greatest joys was being a loving Nana to her granddaughter, Oaklynn.
She is preceded in death by her parents, Robert and Cheryl.
Survivors include her “other half”, Tony Merrick; daughter, Breanna (Jamie) Gall of Eminence, MO; brother, Darin (Shannon) Phillips of St. Peters, MO; sisters, Dawn (Mike) Case of O’Fallon, MO, and Denise (Mike) Haas of Old Monroe, MO; granddaughter, Oaklynn Gall; and many nieces and nephews.
May she find eternal peace, and her memory forever brighten the lives of those she touched. Crazy Dana will be missed by all.
Graveside services will be held at 3:00 p.m. on Monday, October 2, 2023, at Bethany Chapel Cemetery, Eminence, Missouri, with Ryan Liggett officiating, under the direction of Yarber Mortuary, Eminence, Missouri.
