Danny Lee Cutbirth

Danny Lee Cutbirth, 61 years,11 months, 10 days old, passed away on April 12, 2024.

On May 2, 1962, Danny was born in Springfield, MO to Lowell “Dee” and Peggy (Heriford) Cutbirth.

Danny grew up in Douglas County. He graduated from Ava High School in 1980. He worked with his Dad and Mom in the sawmill business, Cutbirth and Son Lumber for several years and then later started his own business, Danny Cutbirth Logging, Inc. Danny was a Christian and a longtime member of Ava Highway Church of the Nazarene. There, he was part of the vocal praise team for several years. He enjoyed music and he loved singing with the group.    

Danny was the father of four children, Jordan, Brandee, Macee, and Carter.  

Danny never met a stranger and delighted in making people laugh. He enjoyed semi trucks, hot rods, going to the lake, and spending time with his family. 

He was preceded in death by his father, Lowell Dee. 

Danny is survived by his mother, Peggy Cutbirth; children and their spouses, Jordan and Lanie Cutbirth, Brandee and Tanner Mullinax, Macee Cutbirth, and Carter Cutbirth; grandchildren, Hudson and Emme Cutbirth, and Piper Mullinax; his sister and her spouse, Sandy and David Clouse; nieces and nephews and many other relatives and numerous friends.

Funeral services for Danny will be Wednesday, April 17, 2024 at 2:00 P.M. in the Clinkingbeard Chapel, Ava with burial following in the Ava Cemetery. Visitation will be Tuesday, April 16th from 6:00 P.M. to 7:00 P.M. in the funeral home. Officiating will be Pastor John Williams and Rev. David Clouse. Family requests memorials be made to the Danny Cutbirth Youth Fund.
