Darcie Grace Coatney, a resident of Pomona, MO passed away at her home Monday, June 19, 2023. She was born May 7, 2016, in West Plains, MO and raised by her loving parents, Rex and Regina (Hershaw) Coatney and was 7 years old.
Darcie did not attend school but was on homebound services for 2 years. Her Papa and Carlos were proud to faithfully attend Pomona Christian Church whenever they could. Darcie loved to listen to silly songs on her iPad, sitting on her Papa and Grammy’s lap, listening to her brother Carlos sing every morning, snuggle with her nurse Kayla, share her bed with Chrissy the cat, and she especially loved being held and being held some more. She will be greatly missed by all who loved and knew her.
She is survived by her loving parents, Rex and Regina Coatney of Pomona, MO; her brother, Carlos Coatney of Pomona; her sisters, MaryKaye Caudle of Madison, AL, Sunni Fine of Tecumseh, MO, Margie Hoskins of New Bloomfield, MO; her brothers, Lee Coatney of Willard, MO; Tyson Coatney of Holts Summit, MO; her grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Dan Quigley of Oak Hill, FL; and her grandmother, Gina Duncan of Cherry Valley, AR.
A memorial service for Darcie is being held at Westside Family Life Center Saturday, June 24, 2023, at 11:00 A.M. with Pastors David Lovan and Marcus Allen officiating. The family asks that any donations or memorials in Darcie’s name be made out to St. Jude Children’s hospital or the Ronald McDonald House.
