Dawn and Franklin first met as teenagers in school. Life took them in a different directions in their youth, but they were reunited years later. On October 27, 2001, they were married in Las Vegs and began a new journey in life. This was the beginning of 23 wonderful years of marriage. They were a team and enjoyed life together immensely. As a child she enjoyed horses and motorcycles. Dawn loved music and dancing. Franklin’s work took them across the United States and Dawn was at his side the whole time. She thoroughly enjoyed traveling with him and taking care of him while he worked as a Boilermaker on different locations. He was truly the love of her life and Dawn was his world. Dawn had a special bond with her grandchildren, and she enjoyed her time with them. Words can’t express how much she was loved by her family. Dawn was a strong lady who never gave up and always took care of everyone else before herself. She was their angel here on Earth.
She is survived by her loving husband Franklin, four children, Robert Vicich, Johnathon Vicich, Eden Thomas, Gabrielle Smith, four grandchildren: Donovan Thomas, Morena Broyles, Johnathon Vicich, Josslyn Vicich, and one grandchild on the way. Dawn is also survived by her mother, Sandra Wheeler, her sisters; Sabrina Mondy, Desiree Wheeler and a brother, Robert Wheeler. She is survived by many other family and friends. Dawn was preceded in death by one daughter, Sandy “Spitfire” Nagel and one grandson, Dakota Vicich.
A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date to be determined.
