Dick M. Deupree, 98, Dora, Missouri, passed away Monday, February 26, 2024, at his home.
He was born December 16, 1925, at West Plains, Missouri, to William R. Deupree and Alta Deupree. On November 4, 1964, he was married to Lorena Mae Deupree, who preceded him in death. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather, uncle and friend. Dick worked at Woodworth and Cochran Motors in West Plains from 1943 to 1964. He then went to work at Bill Greer Ford in Sedalia, Missouri from 1964 to 1976. He then started his own trucking business in Sedalia, D & B Trucking and operated it from 1976 until 1991, when he retired to his farm in Dora, due to his wife Lorena’s illness. Dick’s enjoyed his quarter horses. In 1973 he placed the 4th fastest time in the All American Futurity. Dick was a quarter horse breeder and in the 1950’s and 1960’s he bred and raised brangus cattle.
He is survived by his daughter, Joella Robinson and husband, Bob; ten grandchildren, Sherri Parrett, Tonya Thomas Summers and husband, Matthew, Angi Littlejohn, Christy Mainprize, Jessica Fox and husband, Scott, Amanda DiGiovanna and husband, Steven, Jeff Nickles, Melissa Nickles, Doug Richardson and wife, Debbie and Keith Richardson and wife, Amy; eight great-grandchildren, Jake Thomas, Caleb Littlejohn, Aiden, Ainsley and Avery Fox, Riley and Audrey DiGiovanna and Delaney Richardson; and nieces and nephews, Robert Butts and wife, MI, Buddy Butts and wife, Dawn, Lori Prater and husband, HB, Keith Butts and wife, Amanda, Carl Butts and wife, Kila, Josh Butts and wife, Corrissa and Jeremy Butts.
His parents, wife, one daughter, Roenna Thomas, two sons, Danny Nickels and Rickey Nickels, one grandson, Eric Nickels and one sister, Elizabeth Parker Deupree, preceded him in death.
