Donald Jack Gregory

 

Donald Jack Gregory went home to join the angel choir and his Helen, Saturday, April 5, 2025, at home surrounded by his family. Jack was born on July 5, 1931, to Gerald Carl and Ena Alice (Trowbridge) Gregory in Kansas City, Missouri. He was 93 years old.

Jack graduated from Willow Springs High School with the class of 1949. He married Helen Louise Luttrell on December 13, 1953, and 3 sons were born to this union. Jack served in the US Army during the Korean War. After leaving the military, he and Helen made their home in Willow Springs. Jack made a career with the telephone company and retired after 37 years. Jack was a Christian and was a member of the Church of God in Willow Springs for many years. He sang for many years with a gospel quartet with his Helen and brother, James & Carolyn Gregory at different functions in and throughout Southern Missouri. Jack loved his family, gardening, and Harley motorcycles. He will be greatly missed by all who loved and knew him.

Jack was preceded in death by his wife of 67 years, Helen; his son, Mark Allen Gregory; his parents, Gerald & Ena Gregory; his sister, Melba Jean Gregory; his brothers, James, Marvin, Larry, and Herb; his brother-in-law, Louis Denton; his sister-in-law, Katy Gregory; and his Harley traveling buddy, Keith Bash.

Jack is survived by his sons, Stephen Gregory of Denison, Texas and Keith and wife, Lalah Gregory of Willow Springs; his grandsons, Brandon and wife, Bobbi of Willow Springs, Cody and wife, Sarah of Mountain View; great-grandchildren, Kehnemund, Stephen Joseph, Alorra, Kamea, and Daniel; his sisters, Juanita Denton of Buffalo, Missouri, Dorothy Geraldine Gregory of Clinton, Missouri; his brothers, Kenneth Gregory of La Salle, Colorado, Ivan and wife, Sherri Gregory of Lee’s Summit, Missouri, Mike Gregory of Clinton, Missouri; his sisters-in-law, Carolyn Gregory of Willow Springs, Patricia Kurtz of Pomona, Missouri, and Cathy Gregory of Marionville, Missouri. He is further survived by a massive host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.

A graveside service for Jack will be held Thursday, April 10, 2025, at 11:00 AM at the Willow Springs City Cemetery with Pastor Dennis Walton officiating. Arrangements are under the direction of Willow Funeral Home, LLC. Online condolences may be left at www.willowspringsfuneralhome.com
