Donald Ray Farmer

Donald Ray Farmer, 85 years, 9 months, and 23 days old, passed away on January 19, 2022 at Mercy Hospital Springfield, Missouri from a struggle with dementia.

Don was born March 26, 1936 in Kansas City, Missouri to Ralph and Helen (Gohen) Farmer.

He was a Veteran and served with the United States Navy from 1956 to 1958.

Don and Cheryl Bowman were united in marriage at Trinity Lutheran Church in Lawrence, KS and they were blessed with three children.

Don was a retired Printer with the Kansas University Printing Service. He had worked there for many years.

Don enjoyed working on just about everything. His love in life and interest was in his children and grandchildren!

Don was preceded in death by his parents and his sister, Virginia Bateman.

He is survived by his children: Scott Farmer, Tammy Farmer, and Tracy Farmer, his grandchildren; Luke, Penny, Kai, Xavier, Penelope, Kalina, and Logan, his ex-wife and her husband, Cheryl & Steve Standing, his brother, Fred Farmer, other extended relatives and many friends.

Cremation services are being conducted for Don by Clinkingbeard Funeral Home, Ava, MO. The family will be honoring Don with a service at a later date.
