Donna Lee Beason

Donna Lee Beason, 81 years, 5 months, and 4 days old, passed away on March 16, 2024 in Springfield, Missouri with her family by her side.

Donna was born October 12, 1942 in Tabor, Iowa to Donald Grant and Leatta Blanche (Morse) Fleming.

She grew up in Iowa and then moved to the Ava community. She graduated from Ava High School in 1960.   

On March 24, 1961, Donna and Carl Beason were united in marriage in Garden City, Kansas. Together they had three sons, Pete, David, and Carl Lee.

Donna was a Farmers wife, she worked on the dairy and beef farm with Carl for many years. She could rake hay with the best of them. She was a Christian and attended the Brushyknob Church. Donna loved attending all her boys games and then later her grandchildren’s games and activities. Donna enjoyed sewing and made the most beautiful dresses for her granddaughters, including their Barbie Doll clothing. She also quilted, knitted and cross-stitched. She adored her family and was a devoted wife, mother and grandmother. 

Donna was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Carl, two sisters, Marjorie Willard and Jean Cox; and her brother, Ed Fleming; and one granddaughter, Tina Mcburney.

She is survived by her three sons and their spouses, Pete “Dean” and Cheryl Beason, David and Cheri Beason, and Carl Lee and Penny Beason; nine grandchildren, Deanna, Staci, Brittney, Brock, Joe, Nick, Danielle, Marlin Carl, and Stephanie; eighteen great grandchildren, Kaylen, Kara, Kaleb, Ryder, Klohie, Kayleb, Karter, Kwincy, Ryder, Ridge, River, Isaac, Caleb, Coltyn, James, J.T., Kayleigh, and Gabrielle; two great great granddaughters on-the-way;  siblings, Bill and Treva Fleming, Bessie Smith, Doris and Eugene Everson, June and Larry Bergeson, and Fred and Cindy Fleming; many nieces; nephews; her in-laws; and numerous friends.

Funeral services for Donna will be Friday, March 22, 2024 at 10:00 A.M. in the Clinkingbeard Chapel, Ava, MO with burial following in the Ava Cemetery. Visitation will be Thursday, March 21st from 6:00 P.M. to 7:00 P.M. at the funeral home. Officiating will be Pastor Cheryl Beason and Pastor Chance Dry.
