A Memorial Visitation for Dorothy Ann Goodson, Age 88 of Salem, Arkansas will be held on Thursday, May 28th, 2026 at The Barker Funeral Home, Salem, Arkansas, beginning at 10:00 AM. Interment will be in The Agnos Cemetery, Agnos, Arkansas.
Dorothy Ann (Greenfield) Goodson, 88, of Salem, Arkansas, passed away on May 25, 2026, in Salem. She was born on May 13, 1938, in Caro, Michigan, to Roland and Vera (Osborn) Greenfield. On June 8, 1968, in Pontiac, Michigan, Dorothy married the love of her life, Freddie Lee “Fred” Goodson.
Dorothy devoted 18 years to education as a para-professional. She loved her family dearly, cherished her Christian faith, and found joy in puzzles, storytelling, and listening to the Gaither Gospel music. Her kindness, steadiness, and warm humor touched many.
She is survived by her three sons, Tracy Goodson of Salem, Arkansas; Keith Goodson (Kelly) of Little Rock, Arkansas; and Kerry Goodson (Kay) of Roebuck, South Carolina; eight grandchildren, Kerry Lee, Kurt, Nicole, Haley, Brooke, Blake, Lee, and Mindy; one great-grandson, Jack, ; her brother, Richard Greenfield of Metamora, Michigan; her sister, Donna Hays (Alvie) of Caro, Michigan; and many other beloved relatives and friends.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Fred, son (Kevin) and her parents.
Visitation will be held from 10:00 a.m. until 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, May 28, 2026, at Barker Funeral Home in Salem, Arkansas.
Interment will follow visitation at Agnos Cemetery in Agnos, Arkansas.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Arbor Day Foundation.
