Dorothy Inez Boles, 102 of Mtn. Grove and formerly of Cabool, MO passed away on Oct. 24, 2023 at the Country Living Assisted Living in Mtn. Grove. She was born on Dec. 14, 1920 in Mission, TX the seventh of nine children born to Dawson and Minnie (Kendrick) Weatherford.
Dorothy was united in marriage to Charles Grantham on April 1, 1939 and to this union four children were born, Robert (Sonny), Marilyn K., Barry S. and Charles Dale. They would divorce in 1960 and she then married Archie Boles in 1970.
Dorothy loved all flowers, but especially roses; she had a “green hand” not a “green thumb”, she also enjoyed quilting. She loved her family dearly and loved attending Mt. Pisgah Church with the wonderful people and beautiful music. Dorothy was known as “Mama” by everybody.
Dorothy was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Archie; her daughter, Marilyn; her son, Charles Dale as well as all her siblings. She is survived by her sons, Robert Grantham and wife, Judy who she loved like a daughter of Cabool, MO and Barry Grantham and wife, Cindy of Forest Ranch, CA; grandchildren, Gordon Grantham, Deborah Grantham, Darcy Fonts and husband, David, Brett Grantham, James Dillon and wife, Kirstin, Kelly Hicks an husband, Tommy and Meagan Monroe and husband, Kade; 8 great grandchildren and 2 great great grandchildren; as well as numerous nieces, nephews and other relatives. She will be dearly missed by all those who knew and loved her.
