Dorothy Nell Harless, 91, of Springfield, MO passed away May 14, 2022 at Spring Ridge Senior Living in Springfield. She was born April 2, 1931 in Cement, OK to Robert James Sr and Nancy Etta (Hale) Jones.
Dorothy was a homemaker most of her life. She was preceded in death by the love of her life, her husband, Ogal W. Harless in July of 1982. She loved her family more than anything. She enjoyed playing cards, bingo, painting, and taking walks. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and friend. She will be dearly missed by all who knew her.
She is survived by her daughter Verna Scranton and husband Max of Springfield, MO; her son Weldon Wayne Harless and wife Maria of Walnut Grove, MO; seven grandchildren Collette, Stacy, Kelli, Ridgley, Trenton, Andrew and Darren; eight great grandchildren Zoe, Evan, Owen, Liam, Maren, Grace, Luke and Maddie.
She was preceded in death by her husband; her parents; seven siblings; and one daughter Judy D. Harless.
Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Wednesday, May 25, 2022 in the Clinkingbeard Funeral Home chapel, Gainesville, MO with Bro. Craig Liscom officiating. Burial will be in the Rhodes Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to Terrace Home Health, 4650 S. National, Bldg. D2, Springfield, MO 65810. Arrangements are under the direction of Clinkingbeard Funeral Home, Gainesville, MO.
