Douglas Wayne Scott, of Mountain View, Missouri, passed away on May 16, 2023, at his home. He was born on August 8, 1963, in Jefferson City, Missouri, to Donald and Shirley (Vivion) Scott.
Doug worked in the sheet metal industry in Jefferson City until returning back to Mountain View in 1980. The highlight of his day was working in the bowling alley. He loved fishing, hunting, and music. Doug enjoyed the Kansas City Chiefs football and baseball. He was mischievous and daring. Doug became disabled when he fell from his tree stand while hunting. Let Doug’s life and death be a reminder to us all. When the addictions of this world have consumed you, and the people of this world abandoned you, remember that God loves you and will forgive all your wrongs done.
He was preceded in death by his father, Don Scott, and brother-in-law, Jim Suthoff.
Doug is survived by his mother, Shirley Scott of Mountain View; and six siblings, Darrell and Vickie Scott of Washington, MO, Diane Suthoff of Springfield, MO, Debbie and Randy Moore of Mountain View, David Scott of Springfield, MO, DeWayne Scott of Mountain View, and Denise and Willie Countryman of Nixa, MO.
