Earl Gilbert Lanman was born in Floris, Iowa on May 22, 1936 and passed away in Cherokee Village, Arkansas on March 5, 2025. He was preceded in death by his parents, Russell and Gladys Swaim Lanman, and five siblings. Earl’s hobbies included golfing and woodworking; he loved being in nature with friends and the challenges presented by the game of golf, and he thoroughly enjoyed constructing lawn ornaments and birdhouses. He was a former member of the Lions Club and a current member of Peace Lutheran Church in Cherokee Village.
Survivors include his wife, Gail; two sons, Gary and Jimmy; two daughters, Tena Fritd and Ann; a brother, Carroll; three sisters, Jan Latta, Mary Webster, and Sharon Collier; several grandchildren, cousins, nieces and nephews; many other relatives and good friends.
Memorial services will be Saturday, April 19, at 2 p.m. in Peace Lutheran Church with Pastor Brian Pummill officiating.
