ELAINE R. EDWARDS
Elaine Edwards, 86, a resident of Willow Springs, MO passed away at Willow Care Nursing Home at 1:07 a.m. on Monday, September 25, 2023. She was born May 26, 1937, at home in Hartsfield, Georgia to John and Lula (Joiner) Richardson.
Elaine attended Moultrie High School in Moultrie, Georgia. She was a member of the Willow Springs Seventh-Day Adventist Church. Before moving to Willow Springs to be with her daughter, Pam Wiles, Elaine owned and operated Elaine’s Trucking in New Orleans, Louisiana. Elaine always met you with a hug. She loved being with friends and family. Cooking and gardening were her favorite hobbies. She was always looking for a new recipe or flower to grow in her flower gardens.
She is survived by two daughters, Pam Wiles and her husband, Truman of Willow Springs, Missouri and Melodie Reagan and life-partner, Dave Sluiter of Denver, Colorado; two grandchildren, Phoebe Wiles (Jason Huffman) of Willow Springs, Missouri and Bryce Slavik (Kaitlin Dunn) of Denver, Colorado; one sister, Katrina Sinyard (Chip Borstein) of Jacksonville, Florida; and 14 nieces and nephews. She dearly loved her niece, Stephaine Sinyard Priede.
She is preceded in death by her parents, her younger daughter, April Edwards, 4 sisters and 3 brothers.
Burial will take place at the Willow Springs City Cemetery in a private graveside ceremony at a later date.
