Louise was born October 21, 1935, in Willow Springs, MO, the daughter of Herbert Frazee and Ruby (Wilkinson) Frazee. She married Bob Woodring on January 22, 1953, in Willow Springs.
She first worked at Peoples Drug Store and later at the cafeteria at Willow Springs Public School. She decided later to stay home and spend her time devoted to her family, which she did incredibly well for the rest of her life.
The thing the family remembers most is her life-long desire to serve others. Whether it was her Sunday dinners that everyone was welcome to attend, including people who had wronged her in the past, or her infamous rolls that she baked for every occasion, and her cinnamon rolls that she gave to countless people.
Her love language was service and she demonstrated it in so many ways. Even in her last year she was baking bread and cinnamon rolls for others. She never considered it a burden. It made her smile, in fact, she smiled a lot. If you knew her at all, you would remember her smile. At the hospital just a few days before she passed, the nurses made the comment that they couldn’t remember anyone who smiled and laughed more than her. She simply could not contain her joy!
Another thing remembered by her family was her love of children. All children, nothing made her smile more than rocking a child. She especially loved doing that with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
She traveled so many miles over the years to support their physical and academic endeavors. Bob and her would’ve done anything and traveled anywhere to show their love and support to their family.
The most important thing to know about Louise was her love for Jesus. She and Bob gave their lives to Christ in 1963, and she faithfully lived her faith out for the rest of her life. Her legacy of faith will continually live through her family and they are so grateful for her example of selfless love.
Louise is survived by her son, Mike Woodring of Willow Springs, daughter, Vickie Cooley and husband Scott, of Willow Springs, another son, Tim Woodring, and wife Kelli of Webb City, MO, and daughter, Missy and husband Jonathan Bergman of West Plains, MO.
