Lucinda Ellen (Stark) Link of Winona, Missouri entered her heavenly home at Mountain View Health Care on November 21, 2022, at the age of 99.
Ellen was born July 5, 1923, in Freeport, Kansas, to Martha Elizabeth (Hart) and Charles A. Stark. Her childhood years were spent on Rocky Creek and Sycamore in Shannon County, Missouri. She married Elmer R. Link of Ellsinore, Missouri, after meeting him through his CCC Camp work. Elmer served in the U.S. Navy during World War II. After the war, he re-enlisted in the Army, and he and Ellen spent the next twenty-three years traveling the United States and Germany in service to our country. Ellen was a homemaker, and her family was her whole life. She was very proud of her four daughters. She dearly loved her grandchildren and great-grandchildren, and that love was returned to her many times over.
Ellen was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; her daughter, Barbara Tucker; and five sisters, Daisy Mooney, Elva Myers, Pauline Smith, Jean Weaver, and Ethel McDonald. Ellen and her sisters were the best of friends throughout their lives.
Ellen is survived by three daughters, Dona (Howard) Jones of Columbia, MO; Sharon Link (Matthew Link) of Winona, MO, and Elizabeth “Lisa” Holloway of Springfield, MO; her son-in-law, Richard Tucker; eleven grandchildren, Christopher McDaniel, Steve (Debbie) Tucker, Amy (Sam) Tollison, Stacy Chrisman, Chris (Ashley) Jones, Cinda (Mark) Wood, Rick (Candy) Tucker, Teresa (Chris) Conley, Dan Holloway, Jonathan Jones, and Josh Holloway; thirty-one great-grandchildren; and four great-great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Monday, November 28, 2022, at Yarber Mortuary, Winona, Missouri, with Rick Tucker officiating. Visitation will be held prior to the service from 10-11:00 a.m. also at the funeral home. Interment will be in Mt. Zion Cemetery, Winona.
