Seletha Ernestine “Jo” Reese, 89 of Cabool, MO went to her heavenly home on October 19, 2021 at her home. She was born on June 13, 1932 in the Shady Grove Community near Cabool, one of ten children of Samuel Esty and Edna Odessa (Lunsford) Ellis. She grew up in the Shady Grove area and graduated from Cabool High School.
Jo worked as an x-ray technician for Dr. Joe Spears for 25 years and as a technician for Dr. David Barbe for 16 years. She married Kenneth Reese in 1964 and raised three daughters. She was a member of Providence Church and enjoyed gospel music, cake decorating, bread baking, quilting and embroidery. Jo was a huge fan of Elvis Presley and collected a large amount of memorabilia. She will be remembered for her jovial spirit and making people laugh. After her husband’s death, she spent her remaining years at Landmark Villa and enjoyed the people for whom she had great joy and respect.
Jo is survived by her daughters, Janet Justice of Wagoner, OK, Vickie Crumbley (Jerry) of Hayden, AL and LaDonna Kennedy of Mtn. Grove, MO; 6 grandchildren; 13 great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. She loved her family dearly and will be missed by those who knew and loved her.
