Eula Mae Turner

Eula Mae Turner, a lifelong resident of Willow Springs, passed away Sunday, March 29, 2020 while at the home of her daughter and son-in-law in Willow Springs. She was born October 18, 1922 to Leslie Sherman and Cora Ellen (Keeler) McClellan near Burnham, MO; she was 97 years old.

Eula grew up in the Burnham area and attended elementary school at Halfway School. She worked at the shoe factory as well as the garment factory in West Plains. Her best friend introduced her to Raymond Turner, and they were married September 1, 1945 in West Plains, MO. She and Raymond owned and operated the A & W Drive-In in Willow Springs for several years in the 1960’s. Eula had many interests in life. She loved to sew and make clothing, she also enjoyed playing the piano at home as well as at church. She loved to cook, especially for family get togethers, but her favorite times were those spent at church. She was a faithful member of the Lighthouse Assembly of God church and attended there until her health no longer permitted her to. She will be dearly missed by her family, her friends, and all who knew her.

Eula is preceded in death by her parents; her husband of 52 years, Raymond Turner; and four brothers and two sisters.

She is survived by her daughter, Carolyn Rae Daniels and her husband, Raymond E. Daniels of Willow Springs; two sisters-in-law: Dorinda McClellan of Tampa, FL, and Nedra McClellan of Sun City, AZ; and a brother-in-law, Walter Lawson of Houston, MO.

A private graveside service will be held on Thursday, April 2, 2020 at 11:00 A.M. at Howell Memorial Park Cemetery in Pomona, MO with Pastor CL Stage officiating. Arrangements are under the direction of Willow Funeral Home, LLC. Online condolences may be left at www.willowspringsfuneralhome.com
