Eva Mae Mullins was born July 8, 1927 in Cabool, Missouri to Charles and Cecil (Ruby) Smith and she passed away on April 22, 2023 at the age of 95.
Eva was preceded in death by her husband, Luther Mannon Mullins, daughter Sandra Claussen, granddaughter, Mechelle Bump and her sister, Mildred Baney. She is survived by her daughters, Eva Ann Ross (+Sarah ) of Wichita, Kansas, Gloria Henry (+Jerry) of Peculiar, Missouri and Marla Reene Roelandt of Bellevue, Iowa as well as six grandchildren, nine great-grandchildren and six great-great grandchildren.
Eva was raised in Washington state and moved back to Cabool with her parents as a teenager where she met and married Luther Mannon Mullins. The couple lived south of Cabool before relocating to Davenport, Iowa where they stayed until Mannon’s retirement at which time they returned to “The Back Home Farm” in Cabool. Eva was a lifelong gardener, could make anything grow, and avid collector of many things. She absolutely loved traveling, especially to Colorado and the Rocky Mountains and claimed her greatest travel adventure to Alaska. She enjoyed learning and reading, was well versed in the politics of the world, who was seeing whom and she never missed reading every listing in the want ads so she knew the value of her dollars. Eva could tell an entertaining story, cook a great meal and walk for miles. She will be missed by her family and friends.
