Evelina Miller, 79 years, 3 months, 16 days old, passed to Heaven on September 1, 2022 at Mercy Hospital in Springfield, Missouri with her family by her side.
Evelina was born May 15, 1943 in Waynesville, MO to Orvil and Sadie (Morrison) McKnight.
She was a seamtress and retired from working at H.D. Lee in Seymour, MO after working there for 25 years. She was also a farmer.
On August 20, 1959 Evelina and Billy Jo Miller were united in marriage in Washington State and they were blessed with four children.
She was a Christian and had attended with Billy Jo the Black Jack Church for many years following Pastor Robert Grisham. She enjoyed gardening, sewing, and taking good care of her cows. Most of all she loved taking care of her family and especially her grand and great grandchildren!
Evelina was preceded in death by her parents; her infant daughter, Connie; two brothers, Ronald James and Ronnie McKnight.
She is survived by her husband, Billy Jo; her children, Sandra Merriett, Tony Miller and Karen Finch; 8 grandchildren, 3 step grandchildren, several great grandchildren; her brother, Robert McKnight and her sister, Norma Lakey; many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
Cremation services for Evelina are being conducted by Clinkingbeard Funeral Home, Ava, MO. A private family burial for Evelina will be at a later date at the Murray Cemetery. Memorials may be made to the St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital or Murray Cemetery.
