Evelyn Aline McReynolds was born January 28, 1940, in Willow Springs, Missouri, to Jesse and Ruby (Johnston) Coatney. She passed away peacefully on October 18, 2023.
It all started on January 28, 1940, in Willow Springs, Missouri. Where she attended school and later found her hero. She married Lewis McReynolds in the year 1961, and they had one child, Mark in 1970. Evelyn became a nurturing stay at home mom for the first fourteen years of her son’s life. After that she chose to start in nursing as a dietitian, like nursing she was passionate about quilting. She attended West Side Quilters every Tuesday, where she would make unique quilts. She spent hours handcrafting colorful quilts to donate to Wounded Warriors. She accepted God into her life in 2007, ten years before her husband Lewis passed away. There were no goodbyes, just “see you later.”
Evelyn is survived by her sisters, Della Stolba from Willow Springs, and Carol Lawson from Cherokee, KS; her brother, Delmar Coatney from Willow Springs; her son and his wife, Mark and Tanya McReynolds from Willow Springs; four grandchildren; and four great grandchildren.
Let the memories of Evelyn McReynolds live with us forever.
