It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Faye Alice Matherly, age 81, on March 15, 2025, in Cabool, MO. Faye was born on January 19, 1944, in Salem, Ohio, to Janet and Gene Meiser.
The family moved to Casa Grande, Arizona in 1954 and then to Cabool in the summer of 1960. She graduated from Cabool High School in 1962. She worked for Cartwright Dental Office before getting married and working for many years at Matherly Concrete, the family business, as a bookkeeper.
Faye was known for her love of people – her family, her church family and most people she came in to contact with. She loved to go shopping, garden, cook, attend and watch ballgames and spend time with her family and giving of her time and love to others. She loved her Missouri Tigers and watching all sports like the Oregon Ducks to encourage her youngest brother. She was an active member of the Cabool Christian Church and the community, volunteering regularly and helped many.
Faye was preceded in death by her parents; her brother, Cecil Meiser and her twin sister, Kaye Meiser. She is survived by her beloved husband, Nick Matherly; her children, Sherry (Matherly) Miller and her husband, Brad and Todd Matherly and his wife, Kathy; her grandchildren, Logan, Lauren, Emma and Jake and her three brothers, Don, wife Marlene, Bill and Jim and wife, Rita Meiser.
Faye will be remembered for her kindness, generosity, and unwavering love for her family. She touched the lives of many and will be deeply missed.
