Francis L. Crewse

Francis Lee Crewse, son of the late Hobert Riley and Dollie Ann (Greenlee) Crewse, was born September 4, 1947 in Walla Walla, Washington and passed away September 11, 2022 at his home in Graff, Missouri surrounded by his loved ones, at 75 years of age.

Francis married his late wife Lela Britt on September 27, 1968, and to this union one son and one daughter was born.

Francis married Iretta Kaye Bender on October 6, 1982, and would have celebrated 40 years of marriage this October. To this union the family grew by three sons and three daughters.

Francis was an avid outdoorsman. He enjoyed hunting, fishing and trapping. He and his family spent many weekends at Truman Lake. Francis shared his love of the outdoors with his children and grandchildren to which they will carry on his traditions throughout their lifetime. Francis enjoyed working on cars and was a jack of all trades. He was always willing to help his neighbors, friends and family with anything they needed. Francis was also a great storyteller and shared the many adventures he and his friends had. Time was spent between Oregon and Missouri while growing up and a wealth of stories came from this time. Spending time with his family was his greatest joy. His children and grandchildren were the light of his life, and they adored him. He never let them leave without a hug and an “I love you.”

Francis was saved at an early age but had rededicated his life to Jesus in April 2022.

Francis was preceded in death by his son Bill; his parents; siblings, Elsie, Cledith, Pauline, Franklin, Geraldine and Carlene; a grandson, Dakota.  He is survived by his wife, Kaye; sons, Randy (Tina), Tom (Malissa) and Hobert Riley (Allison); daughters, Tammy, Christy (John),  Amanda and Samantha; 13 grandchildren, Abby, Megan, Stephani, Weston, Brina, Scott, Luke, Chaseton, Grayson, Brady, Baiya, Levi and Calvin; 6 great grandchildren, Braxton, Brody, Madyson, Carli, Kinley and Emma; sisters, Norma (Chuck) Horton and June (Bill) Kepler; brothers, Donald (Darlene) Crewse and Leonard (Marilyn) Crewse; as well as close friends, Ernest Hutsell, Archie Britt and John Wade, numerous other friends and relatives. He will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved him.
