Francis Marie Anderson

Francis Marie “Pepper” Robertson-Flynn-Anderson was born January 31, 1942, to Carl and Edith (Sandridge) Robertson in a log cabin in Sycamore Holler near Mammoth Spring, AR. She departed this life on January 1, 2023, while a resident at Cedarhurst in West Plains, MO, at the age of 80.

She married Dell Lee Flynn on September 5, 1959. She is survived by four children from that union. Lyndel Marlon Flynn and fiancée Kelly Madden of Mammoth Spring, Carla (Flynn Parnell) Stone and husband Michael of Mammoth Spring, Melvin Delano Flynn and wife Valarie of Livonia, NY, and Timothy Wydell Flynn and wife Jennifer of Mammoth Spring, AR. On October5, 1991, she married the love of her life, John Anderson. She is also survived by her grandchildren, Joshua Caleb Parnell and wife Laura of Monette, AR, Seth Thomas Parnell of Jonesboro, AR, and Sarah Elizabeth Brown and husband Aaron of Corning, AR, Zach Flynn of Anchorage, AK, Candel Crantson, Savanah Flynn, Chandar Thomas and husband Justin of Bossier City, LA, Terry Flynn and wife Amber of West Plains, MO, Lori Huckabee and husband Chad of Mammoth Spring, AR; great-grandchildren, Audrey Thomas, Tyler and Matthew Huckabee, Isabella Flynn, Everleigh Flynn, Titus Parnell, Joy Parnell, Zeke, and Liza Brown; several step grandchildren; many nieces and nephews. Also surviving are 3 sisters, Veneda Swetman, Patsy Hawkins, Carolyn Clark and husband Mark; 4 brothers, James Robertson, Harold Robertson and wife Norma, Bobby Robertson and wife Heidi, Mike Robertson and wife Tina; 5 sister-in-laws, Cheryl, Eleanor, Karen, Ruth, and Shirly.

Francis was preceded in death by: her parents, Carl and Edith Robertson; her first husband, Dell Flynn; her beloved husband, John Anderson; 1 sister, Kathy Rogers; 7 brothers-in-law, Roger Swetman, Willie Pendarvis, Bill Cantrell, Ray Hawkins, Fred, Richard, Ken Anderson; 1 sister-in-law Velma Robertson.

After she left Mammoth Spring she lived in Memphis, Heber Springs, and Hot Springs before returning to this area. Once she met and married her beloved John they lived in Muskego, WI, and Melbourne, AR. They also traveled a lot going to such places as Hawaii, New Zealand, Australia, the Bahamas, and several trips to Las Vegas. She loved to make flower arrangements, collecting knick-knacks, shopping, traveling and planning weddings. She loved photography and had thousands of pictures she had taken. She loved writing stories and poems, parties, had been a member of the Lions Club in Mammoth Spring and loved that very much and was given a certificate for distinguished achievements in 2016-17. She was baptized at the Thayer Church of Christ after moving back to Mammoth Spring. She will be missed by all who truly knew and loved her.

Funeral services will be 2pm Thursday, January 5, 2023, at the Clary Funeral Home in Thayer, MO, with Bro. Mike Stone officiating and burial following in the Moten Cemetery in Mammoth Spring, AR. Visitation will be 1:30-2pm prior to the service.
