Frankie Joan Baker

Frankie “Joan” McCamish Baker was born March 26, 1940, to Virgil and Myrtle McCamish in Cleveland, TN. She departed this life on December 24, 2022, at West Vue Nursing Home in West Plains, MO, at the age of 82.

Preceding her in death are her parents, Virgil and Myrtle McCamish, her husband Harold Leonard Baker, and one daughter, Kimberly Denise Baker.

Survivors include one sister, Juanita McCamish Lewis of Christmas, FL, one son, Shane Baker of Thayer, MO, one daughter, Genia Poulette and husband Dennis of Mammoth Spring, AR, two grandsons, Jared Poulette of Crestwood, MO, and Josh Poulette of Farmington, MO, two great-grandchildren, Ellie and Michael Poulette and several nieces and nephews.

Joan was united in marriage to Leonard Baker on July 13, 1959. She was an active member of the Mammoth Spring First Baptist Church and Mammoth Spring Senior Center. She enjoyed Saturday game day with friends, worked as a bookkeeper for the local hardware store, she owned and operated her own greenhouse “Blooms and More” in Cleveland, TN, was a hairdresser and worked at Mammoth Spring City Hall as the city clerk. She served on the Mammoth Spring City Council for many years and was an active member of the Mammoth Spring community. Joan loved people and always welcomed anyone to her home. She loved her family and loved to cook for them. She will truly be missed.
