Gary Lynn Burgess, age 82 of Thayer, MO, was born October 30, 1940, in Shelby, NE, and passed away August 13, 2023, at Shady Oaks Healthcare in Thayer, MO.
Survivors include: his wife, Patty; 6 children, Becky Hulsey & husband Joe of Lead Hill, AR, Lynda Keeling & husband Randy of Rogers, AR, Dale Burgess & wife Debbie of Dardanelle, AR, Pamela Clairday of Summerdale, AL, Catherine Meadows & husband Marc of St. Joseph, MO, Brenda Langston & husband Sean of Lowry City, MO; 19 grandchildren; 29 great-grandchildren; 2 brothers, Lonnie Burgess and Rickie Burgess; and numerous other relatives and friends.
He was preceded in death by: his parents, Clyde & Winefred (Jones) Burgess; 2 sons, Robert Burgess & Daniel Burgess; grandchild, Jerry Clairday, Jr.
Funeral services will be 2pm Thursday, August 17, 2023, at the Clary Funeral Home in Thayer, MO, with Bro. Loren Barton officiating, and burial in the Cave Springs Cemetery in Alton, MO. Visitation will be 12pm-2pm Thursday prior to the service. Arrangements are the direction of the Clary Funeral Home of Thayer, MO.
