Gary Lee Delargy, 76, of Mammoth Spring, Arkansas, departed this life on Monday, March 10, 2025, at his home in Mammoth Spring, Arkansas. Gary was born December 6, 1948, to Robert Fredrick and Jennie Willetta (Evans) Delargy in Nebo, Illinois.
Gary was united in marriage to Candace Dee Rains on August 4, 2008, in Horseshoe Bend, Arkansas. He served his country in the United States Army during the Vietnam War. He spent several years as a truck driver. His hobbies and interests included his family, his dog, watching tv, motorcycles, guns, and attended the Crossroads Baptist Church. He was a loving son, brother, husband, father, grandfather, great grandfather, and friend.
Gary leaves behind, daughter, Lisa Austin of Guthrie, Oklahoma; son, Tony Delargy of Clinton, Iowa; two stepsons, Jeff Rains of Horseshoe Bend, Arkansas and Travis Rains of Horseshoe Bend, Arkansas; four grandchildren; three step grandchildren; two great grandchildren; three brothers, James Delargy and wife Connie of Salem, Arkansas, Bobby Delargy and wife Janet of Bonne Terre, Missouri, and Thomas Delargy of Glencoe, Arkansas; three sisters, Lela Kathryn Acord and husband David of Glencoe, Arkansas, Iris Hines of Guthrie, Oklahoma, and Teri Delargy of Guthrie, Oklahoma; many other relatives and friends. He is preceded in death by his wife (Candace Delargy), two sons (Jason Delargy and Gary Delargy, Jr.), parents (Robert and Jennie Delargy), and three brothers (Ray, Bruce, and Brad).
Memorial services will be 2:00 P.M. Friday, March 14, 2025, at the Crossroads Baptist Church with Bro. Charlie Yates officiating. Memorials may be made to the Vietnam Veterans Motorcycle Club. Arrangements are under the direction of Barker Funeral Home in Salem, Arkansas.
