George E. Gleason

George Everette Gleason passed away peacefully on April 7, 2022. George was born in Vermont on February 20, 1933 to Thelma (Harris) and Claude Gleason.

In 2008, George married Shirley Janet Walsh in the Seventh Day Adventist Church and together they made their home in Houston, Missouri.

George is survived by his brother, Arnold Gleason; sons, Gregory (Shelly) Gleason and Douglas Gleason; stepchildren, Cynthia (Michael) Sloan, Joy (Rick) Wall, Melody (Tony Morse) Jokela, Terence (JoAnn) Walsh, Steven (Gloria) Walsh, and Winifred (Robert) Bade; and many grandchildren, nieces, and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Dora; his wife Janet; brother, Gerald, and stepson, Timothy (Barbara Pettit) Walsh.

George loved to tinker with cars. In his seventies, he disassembled two damaged cars with meticulous detail and created one sweet little Toyota that outlasted him. He was a kind and patient caregiver to both Dora and Jan. His faith in Jesus was unwavering.
