George Stanley Wolverton was born in Ash Flat, Arkansas and passed away at his residence in Hardy, Arkansas at the age of 75 years. He attended Crossroads Baptist Church in Ash Flat, had worked as an over-the-road truck driver, and enjoyed rodeos and truck & tractor pulls. He especially loved his large family.
Survivors include his wife, Sonja Gail Mullens Wolverton of the home; a son, Robert Wolverton (Robin) of Salem, Arkansas; three daughters: Jamie Hall (Michael) of Flippin, Arkansas, Marion Wolverton (Ricky) of Highland, Arkansas, and Sharon Robinson (Kenny) of Illinois; five grandchildren: Katelynn, Kaylen, Keith, Jacob, & Dakota; three brothers: Walter (Joyce) of Agnos, Arkansas, Bill (Lea) of Alabama, and Odis (Annette) of Ash Flat; two sisters, Lydia Sliger of Ash Flat and Rose Wolverton (Jennifer) of Branson, Missouri; many other relatives and good friends.
George was preceded in death by his parents, Gilbert Lee and Delora Mae Jones Wolverton; a brother, John; a son, Jason Anderson; a daughter, Tina; and three infant children.
Memorial services will be at 2:00 p.m. Saturday, November 23, 2024 at Crossroads Baptist Church in Ash Flat with Bro. Henry Parker and Bro. Charlie Yates officiating.
