Gilbert Alan Ward was born June 6, 1970 to Denver and Vivian (Faulkner) Ward in Mountain View, Missouri. He left this world on Tuesday, May 26, 2020 while at his home, at the age of 49.
Gilbert is preceded in death by his father, Denver Ward; brother, Steven Ward; grandmothers, Betty Ward and Olive Faulkner; and father-in-law, Chet Smotherman.
Gilbert leaves behind to mourn his longtime girlfriend, Shelly O’Banion; mother, Vivian Ward; two daughters, Melissa Kile and husband, Rondal and Smoki Nash and husband, Dustin; five grandchildren, Blake, Danny Ann, Jemma, Stratten, and Sasten.
Gilbert enjoyed hunting, fishing, playing horse shoes, and small engine repair. For numerous years, he repaired anything and everything for his many local friends.
Gilbert will be missed dearly by all who knew and loved him.
Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Thursday, May 28, 2020, in Yarber Mortuary chapel, Eminence, with Pastor Wayne Crider officiating. Visitation will be held prior to services, beginning at 1:00 p.m. also in the chapel. Interment will be in Rader Cemetery, Delaware, Missouri. Condolences may be expressed at www.yarbermortuary.com.
