Glenda Jean Winchester was born July 28, 1941, in Winona, Missouri, to Roy James and Edna Faye (Beller) Miller. She departed this life on May 20, 2024, in West Plains, Missouri, at the age of 82 years.
Glenda married Jerry Yarber in September 1958 and later married Rodney Winchester in May 1984. She raised three children, Yvonne, Layne, and Kyle.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Roy James and Edna Faye Miller; husband, Jerry Yarber; and husband, Rodney Winchester.
Survivors include daughter, Yvonne (Mark) Riley; sons, Layne (Monya) Yarber and Kyle (Tammy) Yarber; grandchildren, Caitlin, Trent, Laramy, Dalton, and Shelby; great-grandchildren, Grayson, Aubree, Kieli, Reilyn, Oakley, Piper, and Everleigh; and a host of cousins and friends.
Glenda enjoyed going to the lake and camping. She worked at Angelica Uniform for many years. She later worked at Padgett’s Hardware and finally at Meeks in West Plains as their bookkeeper until her retirement.
She was a beloved mother and grandmother and will be greatly missed by her family and all who knew and loved her.
Graveside services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Friday, May 24, 2024, at Greenlawn Cemetery, Mountain View, Missouri. Visitation will be held prior to the service from 10-11:00 a.m. at Yarber Mortuary, Mountain View. Condolences may be expressed at www.yarbermortuary.com.
