Glenda Marie Fanning

Glenda Marie Fanning, 84 years, 2 months, and 15 days old, passed away on August 26, 2024 at Heart of the Ozarks with her family by her side.

Glenda was born June 11, 1940 in Mountain Grove, Missouri to Charles Glen and Alma (Hicks) Norris.

 

She was raised in Wright County and graduated from Mountain Grove High School.  

 

On April 11, 1970 Glenda and Bill Fanning were united in marriage in Witchita, Kansas and together were blessed with four children.

 

She worked at Langdon’s manufacturing for a few years and then started raising a family. She was a Christian and she was raised in the Baptist faith.  She enjoyed bowling, sewing, cooking, handcrafting, and watching her soaps on T.V.  Her family was her pride and joy. She was a wonderful wife, mother, very loving, and understanding.

 

Glenda was preceded in death by her parents; grandchildren, Josh Bradshaw and Kristy Bradshaw. 

 

She is survived by her husband Bill Fanning; her children and their spouses, Lianne and Jeff Bradshaw, Becky and Kyle Lumley, Billy Fanning, Jr., and Mike Fanning;  her grandchildren, Joe Bradshaw, Jamie Marler, Chris Bradshaw, Heidi Kelly, R.A. Bradshaw, Nikki Woods, Miranda Schroeder, Vince Lumley, and Tiffany Lumley; several great grandchildren; great great grandchildren; her brother, Charles and Cheryl Norris; extended family and friends.           

 

Funeral services for Glenda will be Thursday, August 29, 2024 at 2:00 P.M. in the Clinkingbeard Chapel, Ava, MO with burial following in the Oak Grove   Cemetery, Norwood, MO. Visitation will be prior to the service Thursday at 1:00 P.M. Officiating will be Terry Ramming. Memorials may be made to the St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.
