Glenda Sue Simpson Johnson was born on March 7, 1933, in Oregon County. She left this world on March 31, 2022.
She married the love of her life, Vernon Simpson, in December of 1956. Vernon preceded her in death in 1992. Glenda married Darold Johnson in August of 1997.
Glenda was survived in death by her husband Darold Johnson; two daughters, Vicki and Steve Gantt, and Lisa Willard; two stepdaughters Norma and Nathan Arnold; and Beverly and Steve Smith; grandchildren Brett and Eric Rumple; Blake Willard; Kyle and Cassie Willard; and Timber and Austin Adams; great grandchildren Slade Young, Kayden, Chrissy and Kynlee Willard, and AraBella and Porter Adams; and a host of beloved family and friends.
She was preceded in death by her husband Vernon Simpson; her parents JP and Gladys Holman; three brothers Jack, Tom, and Bill Holman; and grandson Alex Good.
Glenda enjoyed sewing, puzzles, bird watching, and playing with her grandchildren. Glenda was a devoted wife, mother, Christian, and Nana who lovingly raised and cherished her family.
Services will be 1pm Monday, April 4, 2022, at the Alton Assembly of God Church with Bro. Jason Roberts and Bro. Robert Chastain officiating. Visitation will be 6pm-8pm Sunday, April 3, 2022, at the Clary Funeral Home, Alton, MO. Burial will be in the Smith Cemetery, Alton, MO. Pallbearers: Blake, Kyle, Austin, Eric, Jed and Steve, Honorary pallbearer; Kent Shawn.
