Harry Richardson, age 95, son of Cecil and Ruth Richardson was born on July 4, 1928, in Los Angeles, California. He passed away on May 13, 2024, in Cabool, Missouri.
Harry was preceded in death by his parents and one-half brother. He is survived by his wife, Edna; two children and their spouses, daughter, Cathy of Woodstock, Georgia, and son, Matthew and wife, Jessica of San Clemente, California; two half-sisters; four grandchildren; and seven great grandchildren.
Harry grew up in many different towns in California and Arizona and attended 15 different grammar schools. He finally went through high school in Phoenix, Arizona.
Harry served in the Navy on a submarine from 1946 to 1948. He was united in married to Edna on May 27, 1955, in Phoenix, Arizona.
Harry received Jesus Christ in his heart as Lord and Savior at the age of 33, and over the years was a deacon in two churches and taught Sunday School to different ages ranging from fourth grade boys to senior adults. He was also involved in the choir and other singing groups in different churches over the years. Since moving to Missouri from Arizona in 1999, he has been blessed by worshipping with the dear folks at Mt. Pisgah Free Will Baptist Church.
His recreational interests were camping with his family, traveling, golf, and tennis. He did accumulate a number of trophies in singles play in tennis, as well as, with his son, Matthew in doubles.
His main hobby was woodworking, and he made a number of family heirlooms for his children and grandchildren, which included bedroom furniture, a gun cabinet, and cedar chests.
Harry acquired many friends during his lifetime and will be missed by all who loved him.
