Harry Joseph Bell

Harry Joseph “Bo” Bell, 75, of Sikeston, Missouri, passed away on January 13, 2024. He was born on February 25, 1948, in Portageville, Missouri, to the late Harry Melvin Bell and Virginia Young Bell.

Harry Joseph was a man of simple pleasures and a strong work ethic. He found great joy in the outdoors, especially in hunting and immersing himself in nature’s beauty.

He is survived by his sons, Jason (Julie) Bell of Festus, Missouri, and Justin (Gretchen) Bell of Poplar Bluff, Missouri. Harry Joseph was also blessed with seven grandchildren who brought immense happiness to his life. He leaves behind his sisters, Lorna Bell Ellsworth of Dyersburg, Tennessee, Judith Bell Mclemore of Cherokee Village, Arkansas, and Jamie Bell Roberts of Portageville, Missouri, as well as his brothers, Greg Bell of Sikeston, Missouri, and John Bell of Belleville, Illinois. He was preceded in death by his sisters, Leah Bell Murphy and Myrna Bell Russell.

Harry Joseph received his education at St. Eustachius School in Portageville, Missouri, and graduated from Portageville High School in 1967.

A graveside service will be held at the VA Cemetery in Bloomfield, Missouri on Friday, January 19 at 1 pm, to honor and remember the life of Harry Joseph “Bo” Bell.

In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that donations be made to the Missouri Department of Conservation, an organization that held a special place in Harry Joseph’s heart.

Harry Joseph “Bo” Bell will be deeply missed by his family, friends, and all those who had the privilege of knowing him. May his soul find eternal rest, and may his memory be cherished by those whose lives he touched.
