Jack Edward McElroy, age 87, son of Richard Lacy and Lena Pearl (Stockton) McElroy, was born January 7, 1935 in Palace, MO. He passed away May 4, 2022 at home in Houston, MO.
Jack is preceded in death by his parents, his daughter Debra Leigh, his sister Leta Aletha and brother Richard Lavern.
He is survived by his wife Bonnie Ruthene, his daughter Pamela Ann, granddaughters Hannah Isabel and Lacey Elizabeth.
He married Bonnie Ruthene Harmon on December 22, 1954, and to this union two daughters were born, Pamela Ann and Debra Leigh.
As a member of First Baptist Church, Houston, MO, he adored his time sharing his passion for Jesus Christ with his Sunday School Class and his beloved Bible Study Group.
Jack’s other passions after family and church were flying, golf and teaching. He was happiest ‘catching the thermals’ and soaring through the clouds, conquering a challenging green, or sharing his wisdom.
Jack was a cherished husband, father, grandfather, and teacher. He will be profoundly missed by all who knew and loved him.
