James Arthur Curry, Jr., son of the late James and Bess (Tinkle) Curry, was born on November 19, 1929, in Berkeley, California, and passed away on September 22, 2022, at his home in Mansfield, Missouri, surrounded by family. He was 92 years of age.
James married Rena Hampton on June 27, 1953, in Upland, California, and to this union two sons were born, Jeffrey and Glenn.
James graduated from UCLA in 1953 with a master’s degree in Business Administration. Prior to retirement he owned and operated his own accounting firm, Curry Financial Services in Orange, California.
James enjoyed golfing and fishing, especially deep-sea fishing. He was an active member of New Hope Baptist Church in Jarrell, Texas. James loved his family and the time he got to spend with them.
He was preceded in death by his parents, James and Bess Curry and his wife, Rena Curry.
James is survived by his children, Jeffrey Curry and wife, Cindy, of Mansfield, Missouri, and Glenn Curry and wife, Socorro, of Jarrell, Texas, four grandchildren, three great-grandchildren, a sister, Ruth Ann Poppa of Indian Wells, California, other relatives and friends.
