James D. Carr was born January 24, 1941 in Andersonville, Tennessee to Clarence and Elva (White) Carr. He passed away at this home near Mountain View, Missouri on June 30, 2023 at the age of 82.
He was united in marriage to his loving companion of over 35 years, Carol (Blevins) Carr on March 11, 1989.
Jim served his country in the United States Military for 3 years. He was a member of Highland Heights Baptist Church in Tennessee. He worked as an electrician for 35 years and retired as a toymaker. He was known far and wide as a fine craftsman of the wooden toys that brought many smiles and much joy to the children who received them.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Clarence and Elva Carr; a daughter, Kimberly Norris; a son, Paul Carr; brothers, Lloyd, Clarence and Milan and sisters, Ila, Mary and Ann.
Jim is survived by his loving wife Carol of the home and a son, Greg Carr of Oak Ridge Tennessee.
Jim enjoyed attending craft shows, selling his many wooden toy creations. He also enjoyed raising a big garden every year, visiting with friends and neighbors, and visiting the Amish community in Hartshorn. He will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved him.
