James “Fergie” Allen Ferguson, a resident of Willow Springs, passed away on Sunday, October 2, 2022, at Ozarks Healthcare in West Plains, MO. He was born September 21, 1950, in Torrance, CA to Bernie Clue Ferguson Sr. and Annabel Lucielle (Warren) Ferguson and was 72 years old.
Fergie attended Artesia High School in Artesia, CA. After leaving school, Fergie found various labor jobs ranging from working for SRC, a rock quarry, and a lumber mill. Fergie married Candy Vasquez March 3, 1985, in Long Beach, CA. Ever the outdoorsman, Fergie enjoyed fishing, hunting, camping, barbecuing, spending time with friends and family, and of course, riding any of the many Harley- Davidson motorcycles he owned. He will be greatly missed by all who loved and knew him.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Bernie Sr. and Annabel. His siblings, Gerald Ferguson, Warren Ferguson, Maxwell Ferguson, and his sister, Joyce Benson.
He is survived by his wife, Candy; siblings: Donna Simmons and Bernie Jr.; children: Mary Joyce, Janet and Robert Lawrence, Amy and Carlin Brown, Rudy Chapa, Rico Chapa, and Anthony Chapa; grandchildren: Corey Clark, Dylan Joyce, Kaitlin Lawrence, Ricky Anthony, Andrew Marchese, Haylie Brown, Camden Brown, Kristen and Bryce Bockman, Katherine and Dakota Sutton, Blakely and Cameryn Felix, Sierra Brannan, Santana Chapa, Monica Chapa, Ted Chapa, and Bryon Chapa. Further surviving are his great-grandchildren: Cody and Bayleigh, Aspyn, Kennedy, Skylar, Alex, Destiny, Angel, Javier, Cruz, Jack, Lilly, Faith, Orion, and Kyndra; and great-great-grandchild, Azalynn.
Services for Fergie will be held at 3:00 pm on Sunday, October 9, 2022, at Westside Family Life Center with Pastor David Lovan officiating. Interment will be held at the Willow Springs City Cemetery.
