James Donald Groth, 71 years, 9 months, 21 days old, passed away on September 3, 2023 at Autumn Oaks Caring Center in Mtn. Grove, MO.
James was born November 13, 1951 in Springfield, MO to William and JoAnn (Sullivan) Groth.
He was a retired forklift driver from working at Goodwill in Menasha, WI for several years. He had also worked in a paper mill years ago. He had recently moved a year ago to the Ava community to be near his son.
James enjoyed fishing, bowling, playing pool and he loved music.
He was preceded in death by his mother, JoAnn and his sister, Cindy Anhouser.
He is survived by his father, William Groth of Neenah, WI; his sons, Jesse Groth of Ava, MO and Jeff Groth of Las Vegas, NV; nine grandchildren; five great grandchildren; other extended relatives and friends.
Cremation services for James are being conducted by Clinkingbeard Funeral Home, Ava, MO.
