James N. Goodman

James N Goodman, 72 of West Plains, was born April 24, 1951, and passed away unexpectedly on November 21, 2023, at Ozarks Healthcare, West Plains, MO, with his family at his side.

James was born in the “Gateway City” in California, one of twelve kids. His family moved years later and he spent most of his life in Missouri. Cindy and James loved the Ozarks and were blessed with a long marriage. He was a hardworking man who took pride in his craft as a drywall finisher. When Cindy and James were younger they lived in Kansas, Arkansas and then eventually Missouri. They loved living in the Ozarks.

James loved to fish, absolutely adored his family, his children and grandchildren. He was a private man. Cindy and James loved to sit on the porch and watch the hummingbirds and just enjoy life together. BooBoo was his favorite dog and enjoyed having him in their life.

James was so close to the Lord. He knew the Bible from front to back. James’s faith in the Lord is what got Cindy and him through life.

James is survived by his wife Cindy, of the family home; son Andrew Goodman of West Plains; daughter Jamie Goodman of Ivanho, California; son Curtis Yarnell of Visalia, California; son Charles Yarnell of Visalia, California; brother, Billy Goodman, of Vancouver, Washington; daughter-in-law, Ashley Walters; and so many grandchildren there is too many to list.

James was preceded in death by his parents & most of his siblings.

The family is going to have a private celebration of life at a later date.
