James “Jim” William Gorman, a resident of Willow Springs, Missouri, passed away while at his home on Wednesday, August 5, 2026, due to natural causes. James was born January 27, 1957, in Independence, Missouri, to William and Florence (Wolfe) Gorman and was 69 years old.
Jim worked for numerous companies as an automotive and heavy equipment mechanic for approximately fifty-five years before retiring in 2021. He was a proud veteran who served with the United States Marine Corp for approximately four years. He met the love of his life, Cristi Coulter, in 2008 and the two were married in Lone Jack, Missouri in 2015. He had many enjoyments in life which included riding his Harley-Davidson motorcycle, horseback riding with his friends, and working with cattle which kept him very busy. He will be greatly missed by all who knew him.
Jim was preceded in death by his parents, William and Florence Gorman.
He is survived by his loving wife, Cristi Lee Gorman; his sisters, Marilyn Fenson and her husband, Kenny, and Karen Ellis. He is further survived by his sons, William “Bill” and Shane Gorman, as well as several nieces and nephews.
A celebration of life will be held for Jim Saturday, September 5, 2026, from 1:00pm – 4:00pm at the American Legion Hall, located at 1021 N. Walnut Street, Willow Springs, MO 65793. Arrangements are under the direction of Willow Funeral Home, LLC.
