Jamie S. Woodmansee

Jamie Sue Woodmansee was born May 6, 1965, to Juanita (Daily) Vaughn and James Frank Vaughn at St Francis Hospital in Peoria, Illinois. Jamie passed away peacefully surrounded by her children and husband on December 9, 2024 in her home. 

Jamie was preceded in death by her father James Vaughn, mother Juanita Duncan, step-father Gary Duncan, brother James Daily, maternal grandparents Helen Dinky and Benjamin Daily, paternal grandparents Maxine McQuerry and Frank Vaughn, and daughter Peggy Sue.
 
Jamie was born in Peoria, Illinois but her hometown was Chillicothe, Illinois. Growing up Jamie moved around a lot and lived in several different cities and states but always considered Chillicothe her home. Jamie was baptized in 1974 in Hanna City, Illinois after losing her father and brother in a tragic accident. Jamie was always a believer of Christ.

Jamie ended up settling down in Cabool, Missouri after meeting the love of her life Mark Woodmansee. The two married in 1992 on a trip to Arkansas. The pair had three children Lisa Woodmansee, Mathew Woodmansee, and Holly Woodmansee. Jamie’s children and grandchildren were her biggest joy in life. Jamie was always there for her family and would never miss a sporting event or extra-curricular activity they were in. 

Jamie left behind her husband Mark Woodmansee, daughter Lisa Lunbeck and her husband Travis Lunbeck, son Mathew Woodmansee and his wife Breonna Woodmansee, daughter Holly Woodmansee and longtime boyfriend Logan Harp, four grandchildren Cailyn Lunbeck, Kyla Lunbeck, Hunter Woodmansee, and Easton Woodmansee. Jamie also left behind two brothers Ricky Vaughn, Donald Vaughn, and her brother-in-law Michael Woodmansee as well as several lifelong friends. 

Jamie was a collector of many things and loved to frequent yard sales and thrift stores, when she wasn’t found in the kitchen baking or preparing huge meals for family get togethers.  Jamie was also an avid gardener and spent most of her time in the summer tending to her garden and canning her harvest. 

Jamie deeply impacted so many lives during her time on earth and will be greatly missed by her friends and family.
