Funeral Services for Janeice Casebeer, Age 89 of Houston, Missouri will be held on Monday, August 17th, 2026 at The First Christian Church, Houston, Missouri, beginning at 11:00 AM. Visitation will precede the service, beginning at 10:00 AM. Interment will be in The Pine Lawn Cemetery, Houston, Missouri.

Ruth Janiece Willson Miller Casebeer was born November 22, 1936, in Independence, Kansas to Francis and Willis (Sears) Willson. She passed away on August 12, 2026, in Houston, Missouri at the age of 89.
Janiece was preceded in death by her parents; her brother, Glenn Willson; sister in law Irene Willson; both of her husbands, J.C. Miller and Carl Casebeer; and grandson, Turner Brown.
She is survived by her children, Debbie Miller, Terry and Cindy Miller, Sue and Frank Brown, Gary and Jannie Casebeer, Sandy and Jerry Wooten; six grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.
Janiece was raised in Independence, Kansas, with her mother being her schoolteacher. When she was in high school, she moved with her family to Houston, MO.
In 1954, right after high school, she married J.C. Miller and three children were born to this union. In October 1958, J.C. was killed in an Air Force plane crash, leaving her a young widow with very young children. In 1962, she married Carl Casebeer, and two children were born to this union. She was proud that both of her husbands were veterans. After she married Carl, they joined the Christian Church and was Janiece was baptized. Mom loved the Christian Church family and volunteered as long as her health permitted. She worked with her mother in Houston’s first H & R Block Tax Office, doing taxes for many years. Her favorite job was working part time at Wal-Mart in the jewelry department. She was mostly a stay-at-home mom. Janiece loved to read; she made it a ritual to take all the children to the library. She could not keep her kids out of the river, so she made sure they got swimming lessons. She canned a lot of green beans, taught her girls how to sew, and played ball with the boys. Janiece was a strong woman and a wonderful mother and grandmother. She will be greatly missed by all she leaves behind.
