Janis “Jan” Carlene Myers McCallister of Willow Springs, Missouri was born January 2, 1950, in Lawndale, California to Vada Blanche (Brown) and Richard L Myers and departed this life on Saturday, October 19, 2024 at the age of 74.
Jan grew up in Lawndale, California, she lived there until the age of 10, when the family moved to Covina, California. Jan attended Royal Oak High School and Mt. San Antonio College in Walnut, California. In 1981 she moved to Missouri where she met her husband. After their marriage in 1987 she retired and was able to enjoy her love of oil painting, various crafts, and gardening.
Preceding her in death is her husband, Michael D. McCallister; her Parents, Richard and Vada Blanche Myers; and her mother-in-law, Claudene McCallister.
Survivors include her father-in-law, Roy D. McCallister; special cousins, William “Bill” Bradford and wife Marieann, and Lynette Burroughs and husband Larry; and a special childhood friend, Cathy Ruff and husband Ron.
Graveside services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Tuesday, October 22, 2024, at Howell Memorial Park Cemetery, Pomona, Missouri, with Bruce Smith and Dennis Walton officiating, under the direction of Yarber Mortuary, Willow Springs.
