V. Jean Adams was born July 17, 1937 at Barren Fork, Missouri to Edgar and Alma (Hurt) Allen. She passed away at Barnes Jewish Hospital in St. Peters, Missouri on July 19, 2023 at the age of 86.
Jean was united in marriage to Louis Judson Adams on October 10, 1953 and to their union 5 children were born: Jackie Sue, Diana Ruth, Robert Dwain, Louis James and William Joseph.
She was a past member of the Summersville VFW and a member of the First Baptist Church in Summersville.
Jean was preceded in death by her parents, Edgar and Alma Allen; her husband, Louis Judson Adams; a daughter, Jackie Sue Adams; grandkids, Melissa and Meghan Cross; great-grandkids, Addison Bagiano and Jacob Pliske; sisters, Melba Baker and Carolyn Terrill and a brother-in-law, Darrel Baker.
She is survived by: daughter Ruth and her husband Bruce Cross, grandson Matt and wife Erin Cross, great-grandkids, Dylan Abby and Ben Cross; son Bob and his wife Laura Adams, grandson, Brian and wife Courtney Adams, great-grandkids, Tatum, Campbell and August Adams, granddaughter Lindsey and husband Scott Pliske, great-grandkids, Ella and Hayden Pliske; son Jim Adams, granddaughter Nikki and husband Rob Fortier, great grandkids, Carter and Raegen Fortier, granddaughter, Dani Adams; son, Bill Adams, grandson, Joey and wife Dylanne, great-grandkids, Willow and Bailey Adams, granddaughter, Constance Bagiano, great-grandkids, Makenna and Carter Bagiano, granddaughter, Erica and husband Steve Keener and great-grandson, Collin Keener as well as Jackie Adams.
Jean had a love of reading; you could always find her with a good book or the daily newspaper in her hand. She was a huge fan of Elvis and collected all his records that she would play. Jean enjoyed being outside as well as family get togethers. She took great joy in spending time with her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. When she moved back to St. Charles she worked as a cafeteria aide for many years. She was grandma to all the kids she ever met. Jean was always ready to go shopping or grab lunch, she just needed to put her shoes on and grab her purse! She will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved her.
